i use ART Pro Channel (channel strip) quite often in my studio setup.

i've noticed that EQ section is after (POST) Compressor section.

it means that i EQing the signal already compressed.

as i know it's better to put the compressor as the LAST in the signal path.

Hello, let me introduce this message by thanking the moderators of this site, and its countless active members, you have all answered more of my questions than any other site I have visited, and the past three days this site has been my bible.

Now that I *think* I know enough to talk about my desires, here are my questions.

I have an mbox and I'm trying to send a beat I made on my MPC 4000 and when I do the signal is real weak. To hear it I have to turn the gain way up. THis of course results in my other audio tracks that are from my internal hard drive to be way too loud. Any information will e very helpful.

Seeing so many people selling there used M-Audio Firewire 410 on e-bay gives me bad vibes on the product...

Does anybody have an explanation on that?

Would it be a unit that is not doing the job that the musicians are expecting from it?

I currently run a Delta 44 for my analog interface, but I am wondering if it is possible to run another Delta card simultaneously.

If not, can you recommend another good quality analog i/o soundcard, with more than 4 channels, and other than an M-Audio product?

I'm a newbie trying to get together a home studio, record 3-4 tracks at a time just for fun...demo quality at best- been reading and lurking for about a month.

I use Fruity Loops Studio all the time but need help with a few things...

1) How do you import .wav files and set them to a specific bpm?

2) Are there any places to download new samples such as new pads, drum kits, etc?

I mainly do spoken word recordings and have reached the point of needing to upgrade my monitors. Last week I visited Sounds True in Boulder to discuss a project I am recording for them. In their control room I was impressed by both the room acoustics and the Genelec monitors as I listened/watched as they recorded another artist.
