I own an octapad from raoland.. its my friends.. and we wanted to route it w/ reason.. is there a way this is doable.. what kind of drivers would i need.?

Hello everyone. I'm new here.

Just got myself kitted out with a PreSonus 8 channel mic preamp-amp with ADAT output which i'm running into the e-mu 1212m recording with adobe audition.

I have a Behringer MX3282A 32 Track Mixer with 8 Bus going into a Fostex 16 Reel to Reel Recorder. I want to use tracks 1-16 to record with and tracks 17-32 to mix post reel to reel. However, my mixer only has 8 buses. What would be the best configuration to avoid having to connect and disconnect cords continuously?

I assume that a lot of us tend to use the SM57 on the snare drum, but I was wondering how people other than me go about it. I tend to place one on top and bottom (the top one pretty close to the center without getting in the way of the drummer and very close to the drum skin)...

Bass is very crucial for my recordings and i've narrowed my monitor search down to the KRK V8's and the Mackie HR624's. These will be used in different studios and environments so a consistent and well translating bass response is needed. Anyone who has had experience with these monitors chime in... :lol:

I have a delta 1010 with the maximum of 8 channels in to record at one time. My question is this: (and probably one of personal preference but I'd like to hear your opinions anyway)

My motherboard died this week with a series of blown and leaking caps so it’s time to replace it. As I was never that impressed with the performance of the processor (P4 2400MHz) I'm thinking about going for a more radical upgrade to try and increase my CPU performance as I use a lot of VSTs and was regularly maxing out CPU.

curious to know how people are setting seperate headphone mixes (different ch/track levels for different artists recording simultaneasly) in their DAW's when they are staying internal, running no analog mixer,going straight in and just main mix to master channel controller (which is feeding monitors).

If I'm recording an album in 24 bit will there be a big enough difference between 48KHz and 96KHz, after src, dithering, and the Mastering Engineer finishes it up to make it worth doing 96KHz intially?
