at4050 vs 4060
Forums
Has anyone tried the Audio-Technica AT4060? How much better than the 4050 is it? Is it worth the extra money?

Groove Armada Samples from BBC Website
Forums
Several years back the BBC posted a competition to remix I See You Baby (Shakin That Ass). It provided a few samples including the great Grandma Funk vocal that features on this track.
I've since lost these samples and am desperate to get hold of them again. Can anyone help?

Just a quick question about unbalanced outputs.
Forums
Hi all!
I recently read this review on the mpc-1000 and one of the cons was that it had unbalanced outputs... What's so bad about un-balanced outputs and why (I assume) are balanced outputs better? Thanks..

What does a compressor and limiter really do?
Forums
I thought I understood the concept of a compressor, but the more I think of it the less I understand.
A compressor looks at the music to see whether it passes a certain limit in amplitude ("volume"). The limit is called the threshold.

saw this software mentioned in another thread..
anyone using it? and if so - how are the results?
I haven't seen it discussed much before... looks interesting though.

Looking for recording engineer...Southern California area...
Forums
I am a producer/music director living in the Palm Springs, CA area. I am desperately in need of a recording engineer who is looking to go into association with someone such as myself.
I am frequently in Los Angeles, however due to the fact that I am based out of the Palm Springs area, I would like to find someone a little closer if at all possible.

Recording for me may be the start of a hobby or a career, but there is no doubt that it holds a certain fascination for me, and I'm sure many of you as well.
