recently recorded some vox which had a fair bit of sibilance goin' on, so i think its time i invest in a de-esser, was looking at the dbx range, anyone got any recomendations?

I while back I posted a request for the next pre to fit the mix. I got a BA 312A and have been very, very happy with it. But I was still looking for a clean, present preamp with those nice tube driven harmonics to make vocals, overheads and acoustics sound "rich".

Hi all, I am new here and I have a few questions. I have come into a bit of money for mic preamp's and nearfield monitors. I am part of a rock band, and we play live a lot but we'll also be cutting some tracks in the near future using my digi 002. For mic preamps I am considering the following:

Focusrite OctoPre
Digimax LT
Mackie Onyx 1620

just want to know your guys opinion..which monitor you think is good and not so expensive for 5.1?

I have budget 2,500CD. which monitor is fit in this price?

I'm running DP 4 on a G5 through an DIGI002 and having trouble. I got the audio working fine with the DIGI Core driver, but am having trouble with MIDI. I'm using a Triton as a MIDI controller and tone generator and have it plugged into analog 7 and 8 on the 002. I will soon be adding a dedicated gigastudio setup via light pipe.

I've just finished recording a song in Sonar 3 in 24 bits with a smple rate of 96hz. now I've realised that I have to change that to burn songs in a CD, but when I try to convert the bits by dithering in Sound Forge6, I can, but I can't change the sample rate just like that.

Does anyone know the quaility of RME's preamps? Has anyone heard anything about this uint?

Hey guys, I have been looking around on this site and it has helped me out with learning new things that I had never thought, or knew about before. My interest in recording has brought me this far and I think IM going to take the next step and actually start buying something…

I see a lot of folks are using Beyer ribbon for overheads etc...I would love to grab a Royer but it is a little out of my budget..What are the recommendations? What is the main difference between the 160 and the 130? Both are bidirectional...How does the 260 sound?..I am not buying a pair and will be mostly using these for jazz acoustic and vox...
