i currently use a Shure M44-7 with a Technics 1200 turntable + NAD phono pre.
during mixing, i find myself dipping the EQ of the vinyl samples at various points between 1 and 5 k. mainly around 3k.

is there a cartridge more suitable for getting samples to be used in mixes? usually drums (kick/snr/cymbals/toms/etc.)?

i was told the Shure M35S would be better choice.

Unlike the common solo classical-guitar recording which contains only classical songs, this album will contains many kinds of music style. Still they are included but just a few. There are many kinds of genre here, including Jazz, Pop, Flamenco, Country, R&B, and more.

I'm thinking about buying a digi002. It will be used mostly for recording acoustic stuff. Has any one used this? I also need a mike for around $400. What would be a good mike for guitar and vocals. I've used a AKG3000 and liked it alot. Any sugestions.

I've heard there shall be around 80 different types of Sony Super Bit Mapping circuitry - does anyone know about that? I only know of one separate unit, the SBM-1 which is intended for use with Sonys portable DATs. I would gladly hear of anything else existing.

ok. we are using logic 6.4.2 with the metric halo 2882 (8 in and 8 out) interface and experiencing some issues. one of these being clicks on the while recording anything through the analog inputs. all the wiring has been tested so it would seem to be a software issue. also being used is the tc powercore firewire hardware unit without plugins active during recording.

I have a simple question. I'm using Logic on DAW and I would like to buy some Lexicon reverb. I mixed my drum tracks on a stereo bus and would like to exit (D/A or digital) to a reverb for having reverb on drums.

I'm thinking of investing in a DI and a few of my friends have recommended the Avalon and the Manley. I'm not sure how each one fairs up so yes, would very much appreciate it if I could get some opinion?
