I'm trying to think of how to get DI bass from the live room to the control room without such a long run at instrument-level. I think it's pretty clear that the bass sounds better when it's in the control room getting plugged straight into a preamp with a 10-ft cable or whatever.

looking at "Pro Talk" I see a lot of engineers that earn a living with it. I live in Italy and I'm currently working in the educational IT area, but I always wanted to become engineer/producer. I play piano and keyboards since I was 6 and in my freetime I produce/record several local bands and they are very happy with it.

I have a Yamaha WX5 wind MIDI controller using a Yamaha VL 70-m tone generator, and a Roland A37 MIDI keyboard.

I will be recording with the Roland SI 24/RPC PRO Studio Package.

Can I record both on separate tracks, but played in simultaneously?

i have been looking at fans for my new maxtop server case and am a little concerned. i will line some of the case with noise dampening material and i have space for two 80mm and 1 120 mm fans. i already got a whisper series power supply but am worried if i get stealth fans they will not push enough air to keep my goods cool. anyone want to weigh in on what they use and how you like them?

Wondering what the general opinion is on the ART Pro VLA.
I have seen a couple of reviews that seem to think it's pretty good for the $$$.

I have a Meek VC6Q and have a Sebatron VMP 4000e on order. Would the ART be a similar animal to the Meek comp, or quite different?
