Neve VR 60 EQ section Q
Hi all.
It's been quite a while since I was behind a VR - can someone set me straight on the EQ section? IIRC, the freqs (bands) are:
33 - 370
190 - 2k
800 - 8.7k
1.5 - 17
I was hoping that someone who knows better than I can either confirm that, or set me straight. Don't worry about the Q and the shelving.
Thanks in advance.

The Sound of old TV and Radio
Why do voices from old radio and Television sound out of pitch, tuned a few cents high? Did they purposely detune? I'm certain you could set the speed so I've always wondered this.
Was it a fashionable trend? An effect the industry felt gave a "radio" sound?

The Round Trip Issue
I want to deal specifically with the Round trip issue identified in other threads. We all agree that an ITB recording should not suffer from the phase issues of round tripping. This should be easy enough to test. There are several members who claI'm to be able to hear phase shift from "round tripping" easily.

recording to analog tape
Which order do you advise when recording to analog tape, the following...
The kick drum channel on the mixer would have a noise gate, compression and parametric linked in to the insert.
I was going to do...out of the insert into the Eq into the compressor into the noise gate and back into the desk.
What the best route?
Thanks.

MADI cable 50/125 µm vs. 62.5 µm
I'm migrating to MADI.
I just bought a used MADI HDSPe interface with no cable. Digging through my nest of cable, I tried toslink and monster fiber cable but it doesn't work. So, I've been doing some research on what cable to buy and learning the differences.
RME MADI requires either 50/125 µm and 62.5 µm

Brauner Phanthera V level Problems. Help!
Lately I've noticed that I have to use quite a lot of gain on my mic preamps to get a good level out of my Phanthera V.
I decided to use a 1 kHz sine wave to test the Phanthera against my AKG C414.
According to specs the Brauner has a higher sensitivity than the C414:
Brauner 33 mV/ Pa Cardiod
C414 20 mV/Pa (-34 dBV) +/-0.5 dB
