Q10, Sonar Soft Synths and Midi
Do I even need to remind you guys that I am new to all of this any more?
Here are my questions. Sonar up and running on nice DAW with 2 Q10's. The Q10's have MIDI ports, the keyboard we have is a casio home piano type with two 1/4" outs (L/R) and a midi in and a midi out.

Visual appearance. how important is it it?
Also posted on a different BBS, but you get that :D
OK, this may seem a bit harsh but in todays industry climate, marketing (selling) an image seems more important than selling the music.

Monitoring advice... opinions needed!
I'm just starting out in the recording game and I need some advice regarding monitors.
I record on a PC and my setup is as follows:
Delta 66 S/PDIF out > Kenwood Reciever (forget the model - lower end though, 80 watts a side, 2-3 years old) > M70 Mission Bookshelf speakers (not newest model but almost exactly the same.

High-Hat Condensor?
Any suggestions for a good high-hat condensor mic? I am thinking about using a small-diaphragm condensor, but I am open to any other suggestions. My price range is about US$500.
