I'm trying to name my new place so I can start making business cards etc. Almost all the names I've come up with are taken somewhere in the US or world. Since I'm in TX can I legally use a name of a studio in NY? Can I use the name and do something generic like "studio name--Austin" or someting? Any help would be appreciated.

Okay, this is my dilemma...I just started running my Pro Tools hook up. Audio works great, but I'm not getting any sound out from MIDI. I've triple checked the connections and I know it's going in because when I hit the keys on my Casio I can see the signal bar raising up and down on PT. Does anyone have any ideas for me? I'm assuming it's a simple problem...it usually is. Thanks.

What is the opinion of the pre in the Voicemaster Pro? I know this is a channel strip w/ other processing, but I'm interested in pros and cons of the pre section. Does it even touch what the Great Rivers and Universal Audio pres can do? My Monitors (KRK V8's) are currently placed about 1.5 feet behind and 1 foot to the side of my computer monitors. They are on speaker stands and are right behind my desk right now. I was wondering if the speakers and the computer monitors should be in the same plane.

Hello I need a windows platform software that acts like dp3 when it comes to doing multiple takes anyone who uses dp3 knows what I am talking about i know SX does multiple takes but the thing is if i do punches on a take it doesn't pull up
the whole take it will give me just whatever section of the take i select i love how on DP3

I'm looking to upgrade my 533 digital audio mac G4 to something a little faster. I'm not using software that uses dual processors and really don't want to.(digi 001 5.1.1 Le and logic 4.6.1) I want to find a good deal on a refurbished or used G4.
Also, where's a good place to look for a good older g4?
