My Monitors (KRK V8's) are currently placed about 1.5 feet behind and 1 foot to the side of my computer monitors. They are on speaker stands and are right behind my desk right now. I was wondering if the speakers and the computer monitors should be in the same plane.

Hello I need a windows platform software that acts like dp3 when it comes to doing multiple takes anyone who uses dp3 knows what I am talking about i know SX does multiple takes but the thing is if i do punches on a take it doesn't pull up
the whole take it will give me just whatever section of the take i select i love how on DP3

I'm looking to upgrade my 533 digital audio mac G4 to something a little faster. I'm not using software that uses dual processors and really don't want to.(digi 001 5.1.1 Le and logic 4.6.1) I want to find a good deal on a refurbished or used G4.

I reciently purchased a Korg D-12 to start my own recording project, and I have been told that I should have bought a Boss Br1180?
#1. Any thoughts?
#2. I find the manual dificult, especially regarding inserting effects. Using the master effects are easy, but I'm not finding the sounds, ie. distortion/compression/reverb, (for lead tracks).

I have a couple simple questions I have never gotten a good response on...

1. Should I normalize tracks after I record them. Back in the day I normalized everything and I think I got some pretty good results. I have heard that normalization can introduce unwanted noise, but personally haven't run into that situation yet. If not, when should you normalize?

I just got the weekly e from another "entertainment jobs" site. I sorted through all the internships and "non-paid" positions. I couldn't help but notice the "Aministrative Assistant" positions as well.

Hi guys,
I'm looking for suggestions on great sounding small guitar amps specifically for recording. I'd like to pick up a couple cool small amps to have around that dont take up much space, nothing bigger than a single 12 inch speaker.
