A friend of mine is looking for an 'inexpensive' MIDI controller. He was considering the Oxygen 8 but after reading bad reviews, is looking at other alternatives. Any recommendations in the same price range?

Monday everything was working fine. I took a couple days away from the DAW due to work. Thursday I fire it up and the audio drive is running really slow. I can't even play a single stereo file from it without playback errors.

i got my Tyan to work fine on my Dual 1600+ ..
now i have a friend that want badly a Dual Athlon System...
I have the chance to Sell my Tyan with my Dual 1600+ to this friend and buy an ASUS A7M266-D with a better processor.. maybe a 2000+ ou 2200+ MP...

should i stay with my Tyan or Buy the ASUS ? i always had ASUS on my computers and it R0XXX

I'm hoping that someone can help me out here. I just upgraded my DAW to a 2Ghz Pentium IV, 512Mg RAM and a dual hardrive system. Because I use a Lexicon Core 2 card I have to use Win 98SE as my operating system.
