Anybody make one? It would work for me. I find those skinny buggers rather unmanageable.

Anybody re-use DATs - for original mixes that is. What are the pitfalls of recycling DATs?

Ok guys here is my setup Alesis 32 Mixer, MOTU 828 into my DAW. the 828 has gain knobs for all channels, but when I use these in conjunction with the trim knobs on the mixer I get a lot of noise. Should I just use the mixer preamps and not the MOTU's. It gets even more confusing when I am transfering my bands practice sessions from our Tascam 4-track > mixer > 828 > PC.

i already own Win2000 is it worth the extra 100 bucks or so to buy Win XP or can i just go with the Opus tweeks and be off and running on 2000.

I'm thinking about a new sound card(i own a MOTU 2408 mk2). Now, i don't really know which one I should to buy between the MOTU 2408 mk3 or the new MOTU HD 192( why high definition, wath that mean?).. Someone told me, even if i work with 96hz with the HD192 the sound it's gonna be much better because the HD have better converters.

Hi all. Need some help deciding what to do for a new system. I'm using nuendo, SX with Reaktor/Atmosphere/Stylus, UAD-1, need firewire(896), Wavesgold bundle. Can't decide if I want to go with the A7M266-D W/(2) AMD MP 1800's or the P4PE-GBL/sata/1394 w/ P4-2.53Bghz.

Any thoughts to get me in the right direction?

i would like to understand, when i'm in Disk Management in XP, the differences between primary, extended partitions and logical drives.

following Opus' guide, partition (C)System is primary, (D)Multimedia -same physical disk- is logical drive and so is (E)Audio.
