Just thought I'd jump on the HEDD bandwagon. After hearing Julian sing it's praises for the past few months, I found an original version for cheap on E-bay (no Tape knob, just Triode and Pentode).

i found a 1/4" tape recorder.
It's a Studer Revox F462.
It's seems a very old model.
Anybody knows it and how is it? good for mastering?

Anyone successfully using the UAD-1 with LAW?

Is it feasable to use a rack mount case instead of a tower for a daw? I want to build a system that is compact and portable. With all the interfaces available with dsp chip sets, cooling should not be a problem right? :confused: Has anyone used a ego-system WAMi interface? If so what do you think? I want midi and analog, and this is one of the few I've seen that has both.

I need some help calibrating my APR-5002. I've run through the calibration process several times and when I try to record directly from a CD
source(+4dbu) the play back is distorted. The recorded material is about 12 dbs below full scale and peaks at -6dbs.

Here are the tape machine parameters:

hello fellow musicians!
i'm trying to transfer roland CD-roms to exs24 format w/CD exract on virtual pc5 on my g4 mp450(plan on transfering other format CD-roms to other formats also).
but my CD extract won't recongnise my CD-roms, instead i get "this disk is unreadable by this computer" message from g4's finder. can any of u please help me? thanks

what is alsihad? i keep hearing its some great DAW .
