Yamaha 2816
Forums
I bought this unit on Dec 22,2001. It worked well for about 3 wks. Then I started getting "recorder busy" signals, had a hard time burning CDs. Now it is in the shop-possibly with a bad hard drive. Once I learned how to navigate the unit I really enjoyed it. The sound quality is great.

RecorderMan's Take on PT HD
Forums
I'd like to go out on a limb here and make a prediction. I believe that the reccent release of Pro Tools HD at the winter NAMM is just the opening salvo in the launch of PT HD.

need advice, Telefunken or Pendulum
Forums
I'm new at this, Recording to ADAT XT, looking for two Rubber Soul sounding preamps. Two respected audio dealers have suggested Telefunken V72 or Pendulum MDP 1B. Does anyone use these? Is it better to buy used vintage or new with warranty? Any Telefunken users know of any problems that I can expect? Thanks, Don

tracking a singing guitarist
Forums
hello all.
i feel like a dweeb for asking, but all the many methods i've tried for this in the past have given me only limited success:
i'm tracking this weekend a rock band, and the singer / acoustic guitar player will be playing along with the band while we track drums (at least that's my focus.

Apogee AD8000 rental
Forums
Anybody have a line on renting two AD8000s for 12 days? Dreamhire seems pretty steep and (of course) producer has nearly vomitted at the mention of their rates and what it does for his budget...
In a bind...

Sequencers
Forums
I would like to play my drums to a sequencer. I want to download songs from the internet and load them into the sequencer. I plan on buying something like a Proteus for a sound source. As far as the sequencer is concerned, do I need a computer and what software is good? Or is there a stand-alone unit that would work. I would prefer a stand-alone unit if it makes sense.

Juno 1o6
Forums
Hey. Can anyone tell me how to take the tibres I've created and assigned to banks in my Juno and address them to a specific MIDI channel for playback? So far I can only get everything out on channel 1 which as you prob. know can get very limited, very fast.
Cheers, Michael
