Hi everyone. This is the first time really where I put together multiple tracks and play around in my DAW.
(I've had all my instruments, my DAW, audio interface etc., but now I also have my drum templates so I thought I'd play around a little bit)

So I've been turning the cans down and now I'm consistently singing flat. I need the cans down to avoid lots of leakage because I multitrack my vocals, hence the leakage builds up. But now I'm singing flat.

What can I do about this?

I want to utilize a computer for recording; have been using a Tascam neo2488 "studio in a box." Oh, it's driving me crazy. Nothing is easy or convenient on there. I really long for the days of an actual physical, knob eq in my fingers. Can I get a little mixing board, run mics in to that, and then run from the board in to a computer with "DAW?" What's the best way to do this?

I'm going to build a computer dedicated for recording, what should be minimum specs?

I am looking at getting an R16 for the time being. I have been sitting here watching videos on YouTube but I still have a question. Lets say I record guitar and bass tracks at home to a drum machine or metronome, then I want to take that recording to a drummers house. My question is how would I be all 8 tracks free?

I'm having some problems...I use a hercules 16/12FW interface and my computer is a old amd 2800+ with 2 gb of ram. It's having a hard time working with 48channels and vst:s, so I figured I'd upgrade it.

So i'm trying to record bass.

I am using an Ashdown ABM evo iii head and I'm running the D.I out in to the zoom and it is making a horrible humming noise. It sound like an earthing issue.

I have decided to buy a recording computer and recording software to finally get my stuff on tape. I was wondering if any of y'all could recommend me a good, affordable laptop ($500-$1,500 range) and a good recording software program? I am looking to load my own tracks into the recording software, so programs like Reason don't work for me.

Good choice...nice sound quality, reliable, decent wind rejection. The US Prez uses an SM57 with a foamie on it. Thoughts? -Johntodd
