How To: Adding a Removable IDE drive to a G4
I wanted cheap removable hard drive storage for my G4 to archive all my files to and to have a way to store a single project on each disk.
I wanted to use IDE because it's cheap fast, and pretty reliable. I didn't want to use firewire or SCSI because they're more expensive.

sound replacer for DP
hi there,
I've been waiting for my DP3 copy for a couple weeks now, and I'm still waiting.
Anyway, I have a small problem to resolve.
I have a metla band tracking right now, and they got a sh*tty drumset.

noise reduction
Hi Bob, just read the post in Fletcher's and came over here :)
I'm interested in vinyl record restoration, removing hiss, pops, declicking etc.
I have been using "The DeClicker" from Steinberg for a few years and it's okay but it adds some distortion during the process.
I'm using a Mac :D

Where The Hell Did Everybody Go?
We were pumpin' along fine here, and then...it's like somebody turned the lights on.
Is it just 'cause it's summer, and everyone's out getting some sun and fun?
Is Roland gear so easy to use that it doesn't need a forum?
Was it something I said? Do my feet stink?

Compact Neve/SSL mixers?
With DAWs making their stake in the industry do you think Neve, SSL, Euphonics, or any of the other high-endlarge frame console manufacturers will begin making 24, 16 or even 8 channel mixers for DAWs. I would love to have 8 Neve channel strips sitting in front of my Pro Tools at home. The Control24 is a perfect example but will it inspire the other console companies?

A control surface question
Do you know if the CM-MotorMix Control surface is comptible with Digital Performer 2.72?
I mean,I saw in some Sweetwater Advertising a bundle that include
DP3 with a PreSonus Preamp and the motormix.
But on CMlab's web page doesnt said anything about Digital Performer, only Pro Tools compatibility.
I've downloaded the manual and it only mention Pro Tools.

any Roland Studio Pack users?
Owned computers for 17 years, playing music for 11 years, and for some reason never mixed the two till this year. The Roland Studio Pack looks quite attractive but I have not read to much good press on Emagic. Any users of this system here? Your input would be great.
Sony PC400Mhz, 128megs, 20gigHD, Windows2000pro.

Anyone using AW4416?
A client of mine recently purchased a AW4416, and now wants to know whether it will support OMF in the near future. (Buy first, ask questions later, right? ) So, I thought I'd ask about it here. Also, any general comments or observations about the device would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

ISO The Hammondesque..
I no I no I no there's no toneweels like real toneweels there's no toneweels I no
...however, there's no room & no money for the real thing. So I am asking for opinions of a couple of MIDI fakes: the new Korg CX3 and the Voce V5.
