I just bought the US-428 having been told that Cubase vst for mac setup for 8 tracking

So, what's out there in (large frame, analog) console mute/fader automation land? What options exist, VCA & motorized faders, and how do some of the options sound? What kind of prices could I expect for retrofitting a 40 input console? Fletcher, I remember you mentioning a VCA auto system that you were impressed with the sound of. Then there's Neve, Uptown, etc...

can anyone give me feedback on this console? i couldnt help notice that it is 700$ cheaper than a Mackie 24*8, which makes it either a complete piece crap or a masterpiece of engineering. at any rate, i need a new 8 bus for my home studio, and I'm looking to spend no more than 2500-3000 bucks. any suggestions?

I recently acquired a Tele U47 (long term loan) with a stand mic mount. I HATE this mount. Does anyone make an elastic mount that will work for this mic? Fletcher, I'm still waiting for the Royer demo (not from you...hehehe). If I don't get the damn thing soon I'll just get one from you and hope I love it (I wanna love it...with the "new" 14 foot ceilings I'm ready).

Im considering buying the S30 and would like some feed back. If any of you own it or the S80 please let me know what you like/dislike about it. Thanks!

i have a PTIII system(2 dsp farms) and feel fairly abandoned by Digidesign in terms of upgrading options. their 001 system is a dead end and their MIX TDM systems are ridiculously high priced. they won't make anything past v5.01 work for PTIII either. so, which company out there should i be paying attention to in terms of finding a comparable system to PT MIX TDM?

I have PT LE 5.0 (w/Digi 001) installed in my computer. I want to know that if i install PT 4.0 (w/DAE Power Mix) in the same computer, this last one will run OK and what precausions/problems i have to get in mind.
