how do i get rid of fuzz

i have an AKG perception 220 condenser mic running through a tubepre v2 preamp. the preamps unbalanced output is going straight to the mic input on my pc and I'm usisng Cubase 5 as my program of choice. after reading alittle about condenser mics i learned that they normally have some fuzz from having to amplify the sound internally.

First off, I'm very grateful to have found recording.org. I'm not going to blast any other forums, I'm just glad I found this one. Though I've performed a lot on stage as a spoken word artist with whatever mics they had (sm58s common?), I'm fairly new to recording and definitely a n00b as an engineer. So..the question at hand..
