The PreSonus NAMMcast will be broadcast in real time Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (January 24 through 26), between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, and will be rebroadcast between 6 p.m. and 3 a.m. so viewers worldwide can enjoy the show.

i have an AKG perception 220 condenser mic running through a tubepre v2 preamp. the preamps unbalanced output is going straight to the mic input on my pc and I'm usisng Cubase 5 as my program of choice. after reading alittle about condenser mics i learned that they normally have some fuzz from having to amplify the sound internally.

I'm looking into purchasing a pair of MDC or LDC as an addition to my mic locker and thought I'd throw it out to everyone for some opinions and comments.

Okay, so one of my mic cables hasn't worked for a while. I simply don't get a signal from it.

I bought and downloaded the upgrade to Windows 8 but have yet to install it. I have it on my laptop and so far so good. Even without a touch monitor. I'm a little leery of installing it on my DAW though. Anyone taken the plunge yet?

First off, I'm very grateful to have found recording.org. I'm not going to blast any other forums, I'm just glad I found this one. Though I've performed a lot on stage as a spoken word artist with whatever mics they had (sm58s common?), I'm fairly new to recording and definitely a n00b as an engineer. So..the question at hand..

Question- Does the volume of individual frequencies cause clipping at the master bus or does a song clip because of the summed volume across the frequency spectrum?
