Hello.

I want to use Reason as a slave with a good VST DAW host. I also want to record vocals and guitar at the same time. Can I do this in Ableton, or is Cubase my only poison. I run Windows 7 64 bit and would love the ease of Ableton over the lifetime learning of Cubase.
Am I right to assume that I cannot simultaneously do this task in Live 8?

I am in need of some information that seems very hard to find by just googling vague keywords.

I need a new Win7 laptop for musical use in live performance... (Rompler) and... at most as a stereo field recorder... or perhaps to take a feed from the house mix.

I was wondering, how do you really get to know your headphones for mixing?

I like to record sounds in Cubase LE4, but although the sounds From the M1 is played via Yamaha CS1x the sound is heard by me from the speakers. BUt the midi on Cubase isn''t triggered! My processor is AMD, and just everything I use from VST works except the Virtual instruments by KORG as Wavestation, M1 etc. Would love to use the sounds of KORG in my productions!

what would be in your opinion the minimum (and also recommended) system requirements for recording 8 tracks at a time in, for example, Sonar 8?

I'm talking about mobo, ram, hd, processor, etc

I just got a new mixer: DOD 820 RM Mixer. When I say new, I mean "new"...I bought it used. It DOES work. I know this because the light is on, and the phantom power light and everything is on, but I can't seem to figure out how to work it...when I plugin a mic, no lights go on, even when I move the corresponding knobs.
