Monitoring from speakers and headphones

I need to find some way to switch between my powered speakers and a small portable CD player that has a line input that allows it to be used for my headphones when I am recording with a mic and can't use the speakers in my small room.

It's really bogging me down swapping cables.

What do you suggest for switching between sources?

HD24XR into PreSonus Firestudio Lightpipe ...

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone here is using the PreSonus unit. I'm trying to send lightpipe signal from an Alesis HD24XR to the PreSonus then firewire to my DAW. I read on the PreSonus site that I needed an approved TI equipped firewire card in the DAW. Bought that, but still static galore!

mistakenly sold my Tascam us 122(or 144 i cant remember) but need an interface again

so basically a few months back i sold my Tascam us 122 (or 144) as i rarely used it and my laptop was sh*t and was rather impractical as i didnt have a desk so i had to use my bed with a laptop and interface which was rather annoying

A capella group

Hey guys - I'm going to be working on a project here pretty soon, a male a capella group wants to record an album. I've been listening to a couple CDs of similar groups (pop style a capella) and realized that I'm not sure I know how to get that unique (well, maybe not so unique within the genre) sound and character.

Does anyone have some experience or insight?
