Okay, here's my situation:

I have a Epiphone Les Paul Standard and have to tune down a full step for one song and noticed that the B string buzzes when I bring it down to the A. The D string did as well but quickly and inexplicably corrected itself so I figured maybe I could make that happen to the B, as well. Any suggestions besides "don't tune down a full step"? Thanks guys.

I've been playing classical piano and (mostly acoustic) jazz guitar for a few years, but now I want to check out the world of audio production, electronic music etc.

This is my first post. I just thought I'd share the current setup I'm working with and what my finished product sounds like.

I am using the following:

Macbook Pro 13" 2.53 ghz
GarageBand
Mackie 1620
Sure SM57's and 58's
KRK RP-8 monitors

Jackattack from another thread re: a tower computer "If you travel slap it in a rackmount case and get a monitor that slides out of the rack on a tray. You can do all that with a five space rack case if you're careful."
I have been sorta looking around for a solution to moving my tower around any more info on this?

Is it possible to record through garageband by connecting my ipod touch into my computer? I want to record some of the syth apps and drum apps but don't know if there's a way to connect the Touch directly into the computer maybe through line in? Thanks for any help.

I find that whenever I have an acoustic guitar in a live mix, it seems to swamp other instruments.

I tend to reduce the lower-mid frequencies to prevent the swamping effect but then I usually cannot hear the guitar through the mix.

Any advice appreciated.

Got it and really liking it. Takes a good competent Midi file to make it work however. But heres my quick thrown together sound clip. I reall really need to get a better guitar VST.

I asked this questions a long time ago and was told very aptly that my wireless internet was causing these random occurrences of artifacts I guess they're called. I shut off my cell phone, wireless internet, and every piece of electronics that has blue tooth. and it worked.. until now. They're back, the only thing I know that's changed is my graphics which lead to some sound problems at first.

hi. I'm the most noobie here.

my problem is, when i track overdrive guitar(s) it always sound fine. but the problem lies when mixing them. it always ends up sounding too bright, not full enough like proper guitar sound. the hi-mids always annoy me.
