I have a Roland F-90 digital piano that I'd like to record.
Can anyone suggest an inexpensive hardware interface would allow me to record into
i) a WinXP PC running Audacity?
ii) a Macbook or Mini running, say, GarageBand?

I want to get the best out of all my mic preamp's I have and I am not sure whether to hook everything up via ADAT or wordclock.

My current set up is I have a Rme hammerfall 9652 soundcard with a PreSonus digimax lt, ART gold dmpa pre, jlm ba2 mic preamp and a Behringer ada8000. I use Cubase sx3.

I'm looking to get some sweet but straightforward enough synthe VST instruments so I can make sounds and all that. I want some realistic sounding stuff which is simple enough to alter. I tried Absynthe 4 but felt way in over my head with all of the tweaks that you can make. I don't know, anyone have any suggestions of good synthe VSTs either pay or freeware?

We haven't talked about Milab around here much. Has anyone had the opportunity to test these? I'm curious...

i've been recording hip hop vocals for almost 8 years, and have yet to find a sound I'm satisfied with. probably from a lack of knowledge and research

I've recently been thinking in depth about dropping the idea of the Peavey 6505+ and getting either an Orange Tiny Terror or Dual Terror. I like the 6505+, but from firsthand experience it seems to be a one trick pony. The distorted riffage is top notch, but that is only one facet of my playing style, I feel that I need good cleans and crunch as well. The Orange fills that gap.
