Recording newbie HELP regarding interfaces questions
Forums
Hey guys,
I play guitar and I want to record a cover album with a couple of mates for the summer holidays with piano, guitar, vocals and possibly drums and bass (recording individually). I am a complete newbie so all the information I have is from a couple of people from the guitar shop.
I have a couple of questions regarding interfaces:
Basic newb questions, please give advice.
Forums
Hello all, I'm a drummer, in a technical/death metal band, looking for a way to record. I don't know much of anything about recording, but I would like to learn more about recording and for our band to get our own recording gear.

Hearing Your Monitors
Forums
I've got this problem, but I don't think it is my monitors, I think that it could be me or possibly monitor placement/room treatment or lack thereof. I can hear slight EQ changes throughout a good portion of the frequency range quite easily. I can also detect small changes in level balance quite easily in a mix situation.

How does a standalone converter integrate with a sound card?
Forums
I just don't get it: I use and ECHO Layla3G. It has 8 ins and outs and, of course, its own converters. It works and sounds great, but in the relentless pursuit of the golden signal chain, I've always wanted to upgrade to a better set of converters, but I can't wrap my mind around how it would work.
powering monitors
Forums
I am in a 5 piece band and we all sing so everyone wants a monitor on stage. Can I power 5 monitors with one amplifier? Most amps have only 2 outputs so is chaining 3 speakers on one channel okay?
Thanks.
