i want to start recording music, recording my guitar (acoustic & electric), drums, bass, and vocals. exactly what do i need to start doing this? i have looked into propellerhead's record, but what else would i need? and approximately how much do you think it would cost? also do i need multiple mics to record my drum set? thanks so much i really appreciate all the help!

This is a recording I recently did for a friend's grad school pre-screening CD. It was recorded with 2 CAD e70's in a stereo xy configuration.

Do you actually have to yell into da mic to make it sound as somebody is yelling on the track? cuz i use RODE nt 1000 and dont think that its going to handle some yelling if u know what i mean,Is there a way to get it done with an effekt? :)

Hi, I am deciding between a ESI UGM 96 interface and a Line 6 POD GX.

Im a beginer learing to play the guitar, I need the interface so that I can play back to review my practicing> Basic I would like to have a mic and guitar input but Im not able to decide. Also both provide different software?

My budget would be around the 100 dollar region.

I am looking for a CD or Program to help train my ear to listen for certain sounds while I am mixing. Like knowing what a muddy guitar sounds like, or a weak bass drum, or a guitar that has too much in the mid range. I don't know if anything like this exists. I know the best way to train you ear is practicing so I am trying to find something that can help me learn faster.

I've been recording using my PreSonus FP-10 for a while now and recently I got a Samson S com4 compressor for my live stuff. Tonight I decided I wanted to record some vocals and use the Samson for some soft compression going into my FP-10. When I started hooking everything up I realized the Samson doesn't have Phantom power for my condenser.
