PreSonus Firestudio Mobile opinions

I have recorded a couple of CDs for fun at my house and am serious enough about it that I recently upgraded my pre to a UA LA610 because I got a really good deal on it used. I recorded this last CD on a PreSonus Firebox and it worked fine except that tracks were often interrupted because of hiccups while recording.

Has anyone tested ProTrig?

I stumbled over this plugin called ProTrig the other day when I was looking for drum triggering software and it seems to me when looking at YouTube and at their site that is very good. Im considering buying it once the mac version is released. Just wanna know if someone here has tried it. Is it easy to setup and is it any good?

Game Development and Sound Effects

Hi,

I'm an indie game writer/developer working on a new iPhone game. Rather than pay for stock sound effects, i'd like to have a go at recording some myself (most likely creating the sounds in my home using various props)

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good equipment setup for recording sound effects?

Which one should I buy?

PreSonus FireBox 24-bit/96kHz FireWire Recording System
200$

Lexicon Alpha USB Desktop Recording Studio 80$

Lexicon Lambda USB Desktop Studio150$

I keep questioning myself money wise but 200 is the most ill spend and yeah.

I recently just bought a MXL V63M and really want to begin recording videos for youtube and make CDs and such...

Help i'm being attacked by digital distortion

OK first of all my set up is a Tascam us-122 and my onboard sound card realtek 97 using the asio4all driver. ok so I start recording or playback and after a few minutes (it varies) I start to get digital distortion, at which point I go to preferences change the driver to someting other then asio4all then back to asio4all (if that makes sense) and the distortion goes away for a few minutes.
