Okay, I need to know first, if I can get professional vocals out of the following things I have and second, how I go about it generally. I'm having a big vocal problem; everything music wise that I've arranged is perfect and solid; but the vocal quality of the recordings make everything sound so ametuer. Here's my chain:

ok so i am Micing my crate amp (with 1 12" speaker) with 1 or 2 sm57s (whichever is needed) and i dont know whether i should use a preamp,compressor, or whatever for the sound (thats what i am asking you guys for)

Running Sequoia 11, Ableton Live 8 and Sonar 8.

Okay i just got myself a M-Audio fast pro track usb cuz the sales man recomended me that for my RODE nt100 mic he told me i should get a good sound from the profast track, and i got it,for 200$ dollers its big money for me, okay . so i connected my rodemic into that thing, and when i record i get a good sound but it sounds like.. how should i explain?

Getting some buzz from my gear. I have a PreSonus firebox but thinking about getting an Apogee Duet. Can anyone recommend a good power conditioner under 150 bucks.

I was just curious. Does anyone here mix a little in regular computer monitors before going on to refine in studio monitors?

I've been using dp5.13 for a couple years now. they just recently came out with dp7.

which got me thinking about upgrading either to the newer dp, or another software.

i like what i have, but i'm looking get something with a better mix bus, better audio quanitzing.

I am attempting to customize a Epi Les Paul, new pick ups and parts. The model is the Black Beauty, which is a three pick up model presently wired like this
