Program to train the voice?

I'm not interest in a course like Brett Manning's. I have a free program called Pitch Perfect Guitar Tuner. When I sing into the microphone the guitar tuner will show which note I'm singing. I want a program that has that kind of capability, where I sing into the mic and it gives me an indication of how I'm doing. Are there any programs that do this?

Program that can transform guitar sound

I have a G-Track USB microphone that I also use to plug my acoustic-electric guitar into. Is there a program that I can install on Vista that will allow me to sound like I'm playing different instruments when I'm playing my guitar? E.g., play note C on guitar and it will sound like different types of guitar, piano, trumpet, mandolin, etc.

Firepod question?

I have had this firepod for about 1 year now and now I have two problems with it.

Problem one is that the speakers stopped working one day (something with the Cubase settings messed this up) and now I do not know how to put them on again. Even the headphone jack won't let me listen to the songs anymore. I know the speakers work I tested them out on the radio.

MOTU 8pre into M-audio 410 through optical cable

I was trying to connect these two units together, M-audio being a main interface connected to PC through firewire. I connected MOTU 8-pre out into M-audio IN with optical cable. Pro Tools were running and froze right away. So I restarted computer, and can't seem to find any sign of MOTU connected on the PC. Pro Tools say that paths for inputs 5 - 32 are not found.

Pre-amp Gainstaging

Alright, I took the plunge. I'm trying out a UA Solo 610 tube preamp. So far I have only been trying it out as a bass DI, and I'm not that impressed, so I'm looking for some advice. I've been playing with it for hours, but there's a good chance the problem is user error, so feel free to point me in a better direction. Here's what I've been doing to A/B it with the built in DI in my board:

Should I mix with my crappy headphones, or crappy speakers?

Well, I don't think my speakers are "crappy" really, but I don't think they're meant for audio recording either.

Headphones: Cheap wraparound the head ones that were popular about 6 years ago.

Speakers: Logitech z4, cost me about $70. Sound great for movies!

Don't really have the money OR the space for something else right now
