I am looking into a versatile LDC and run into the RODE line. My goal is to have a versatile mic that will do well on vocals and acoustic guitar. I also want the variable patterns.

I am doing a bunch or live recording this summer and am multi-tracking to an HD24. For backup & reference I am also recording CDs on a TDK DA-5900 CD recorder. For this I am sub mixing L/R FOH with 3+ AUD mics onto CD.

Anyone have a Maudio Pro usb interface and using Vista?
I cant get vista to accept it as my default sound device.
How did you set yours up?

I have just started getting into recording my band and I'm stuck already.
i have a boss br600 and just have a few questions?

I need to record the following instruments, synth, drums (e-drums), vocals and guitar... got all the kit atm.

Can i record them all at once without using the inbuilt mic or do i have to do each instrument individually?

I'm a big fan of Yamaha... But if I'm gonna blow 3K on a kit.. I wanna hear how well it tracks first...

Does anyone have any experience with this kit? or could link me to a recording of this kit.

my Hosting service (Hostway) offered Windows Media Server at the time. I wanted visitors to have the ability to quickly stream .wma's, so I went for the cost.

i am using Cubase le with the maize sampler and an akai mpd24, and I'm having a hard time getting the samples to trigger correctly. If i have a long sample like a bass line, i have to hold down the pad while it plays. what i would like to do is to be able to hit it and have it play the whole sample or until i hit it again, in which case it would restart.

ISDN service appears to be in a terminal state, so. .which VOIP studio-to-studio software do you use for sessions? I've got my plan B & C in place, but I am still undecided on my plan-A VOIP solution.

If you answered other for either hardware and/or software, please tell me/us what you use.

Hi all.
For reasons I'll leave out, 2 of our speakers (the monitors for the band) are in my house among other things. Being bored and knowing that the tweeter on one wasn't working, I opened it up to look. Lo and behold, the tweeter works (probably) but there's a loose wire.

The speaker is a Wharfedale Pro PT-12, the woofer is branded D-003.
