I went to a flea market today, and a guy had a Beta 58 for sale. I asked how much he wanted, basically out of curiousity, and he said $50. My jaw nearly dropped, but I don't have the cash even for the $50 right now. If he would have said $40, I might have done it anyway. Sorry if this is in the wrong area, wasn't sure where to post it. I've come by one of the old dbx 160x units. However, it gives an unacceptable buzz when I crank the output gain above 0. It loses the buzz when I bypass the unit or turn it back down. Could this be a grounding issue?

Sorry, but I get confused. About 2.5 years ago I got an AMD X2 4400 that has served me -very- well. However, I need another computer now to run Adobe In Design and Flash and I was thinking I could take this thing and re-purpose it for that and get a new PC to take me into the next 2-3 years with Windows 7.

I was wondering which was the best way to bounce a mix on Logic 8, real- time or offline. Which one of these will best preserve the sound of the mix.

Im trying to bounce to disk, using dig 002 rack,PTLE to my
macbook pro, but after going through the process I get this

I finally got my new monitors set up. I need a new desk at some point, my Z-Rack w/t wood and end tables from a yard sale, are not big enough. Plus I need something that looks better. But this works for now. Now I have to learn them.

so, my original mbox is broken. I want to get something to replace it, but I do not want to spend the money on the usb cable and the Pro Tools... just the mbox itself. Where can I get this? OR. is there anything else I can use with Pro Tools that is cheaper then an mbox? I'm not really gonna be a stickler about quality here, Im a newb

Keep in mind I'm using Mac OS X.

Okay, I have a super low budget recording studio in the making.

When I record, I want tracks to show up individually as they do on the mixer.
This way, I can edit and control each individual input.
How can I do this on a Macbook?
