Preamps n Stuff
Forums
My recordings still sound cold-blooded, at least to my ears. I'm looking to breathe a little life into them, as well as the lush harmonic quality of a preamp. I'm not blindsided by tube seduction, so solid state will do just fine.
1. I want one especially for my guitar recordings. I intend on putting it after the SM57 that is in front of my amp and before my PreSonus Firebox.

Acid Pro 3.0 *Sound Problem*
Forums
Hi, I've recently set up my recording system again, but every time I record something on my setup, the sound is so low, I have to duplicate it atleast 6 times to be able to hear it, and it automatically records to the left (pan) originally. Does anyone know what the problem is here? Ive got a condenser mic At2020, into a phantom power, to my computer.
thanks.

Studio Recordings from ~10-feet away?
Forums
Hi there, I'm looking for a stereo microphone setup that will allow me to record a multitude of instruments and possibly vocals from 10-feet away, at the most. This would be to allow for recording a music video, live in stereo, with the freedom to move around a bit.
Is this an attainable goal? Could someone point me in the right direction?
Thank you very much, in advance.

Think I May Be Micing Wrong...
Forums
Or maybe I'm just wrong. Just got my pair of SM's today YAY! SM57 and 58 are now mine. I tried Micing two rhythm parts on this song I'm starting, but it sounds really dark, even when I roll off bass and boost highs. (I don't like boosting or cutting more than 3 or 4 dB usually)

PC Won't Recognize 1010lt
Forums
My music PC died, the power supply fried and took out the motherboard (according to the kid at the local pc shop). I have another used PC I bought off of the 'bay, that also has Windows XP Home SP2 as the Operating System. I've installed the 1010lt into the working pc, installed the stuff off of the CD, but neither my DAW software(Sonar 7 Pro) or the control panel on the pc shows the 1010lt.

Any luthiers?
Forums
I was wondering if anyone on here made instruments, either for themselves or to sell. I'm thinking about trying my hand at making a guitar, and was hoping for some experienced advice.
