There is pad and low filter in my mics and preamps
-20 /pramps
-10 / mics
80hz filter / preamps
low filter/ mics
With this stuff I can make a snare sound a little better or an overhead mic pick up less drums etc...
but . for recording, do I really need to make things better before the converters?

It sounds to good to be true.

I am looking to get out of the mbox department and get an I/O that can be the hub of my DAW for years to come.

It would seem this guy has every thing I would need for a serious DAW. including 5.1 monitoring. Which is something I intend on getting back into in the next few years.

I have been messing around with Proteus VX recently and i downloaded this pack of supposed E-MU music library samples anyway once i extracted them i discovered that the files are in .sxt format which i have no idea what that is, or if they would work in proteus vx i tried copying them into the folder but they dont work in it.

I've come up against the problem of communicating with vocalists and guitarists in the the other room. It's a real pain shouting through the 2 closed doors which separate us. I do this recording stuff from home you see.

I would like to hear from anyone that is using XP Professional 64 bit. I've read many times people complaining after they have installed it that it appears to be slow. Slow downloads. Programs open slower. Things like that.

I don't see why this would be true however. If anyone here is using XP Professional 64 bit please give me your observations and if you are happy using it.

We are reconfiguring our pa system at church. Equipment:
Soundcraft Spirit E12 Series
QSR rmx2450 amp
Older pair of Bose 802 Speakers with controller.

Trying to get both R/L main mix outs into one side of amp inputs. Making room to run monitor sig through other side of amp.

Does anybody know anything about how they achieved the thunderous guitar sound on the early Duane Eddy records?
