hey, I'm just wondering how i can use all 16 pads in Ableton live (as opposed to the 8 offered in the impulse sampler)

ive tried setting 2 midi tracks and such, but my utility software doesent seem to let me split my pads 8-8 into 2 different midi channels.

suggestions?

the majority vote seems to be either the ART Tubefire 8, or MOTU 8pre...

Question: Will the Tube pres work well (color sound in a good way) when recording drums? If i were to get it, would i be stuck with an overwhelming tube sound every time i record, or is that desireable?

Anyone know of companies in Naples/Ft Myers area that do what we do? (Classical/Jazz/Acoustic recordings). I'm considering renting locally vs hauling my own stuff down there, still trying to figure out the logicistics for an upcoming project in the Naples, FL area.

i record in 10'x15' room in my apt and it has lots of reflections. i want to minimize the amount of reflected sound my mics pick up and was wondering if anyone can suggest any cheap techniques they like to use to do deal with this.

primarily, i record vox, guitar and hand percussion.

I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to pro audio, but ive been given the task of looking after the techincal aspects of a small community radio station.

I understand the basics, but I'm after some advice on what would be an ideal overall setting for a compressor/limiter which sits behind the transmitter.

I'm trying to find a pair of small condensers that are suited for studio use as overheads and the like, but also have practical use as live sound overheads.
