Guitar Amp doesn't work, any ideas. ?
Forums
Hello.
I have this old Peavy 75Watt Solo series Bandit amp. About 10 years ago dicking around I was playing with it and I had two distortion effects pedals running into it and I was jamming really loud and it just stopped working.
No crackles, no pops, nothing, just silence.
Anyways, I threw it into storage and recently dug it out because I need a new amp.

DAW Setup
Forums
I have been producing decent quality music for about six months now and I really want to invest some money on purchasing a DAW. I already own a midi-controller, the Akai Mpk-24 and it's an excellent controller when programmed properly. Reason 3.0 is the recording program that I use for producing and I truly enjoy it.

New PC-Based Studio: Multiple Track Recording?
Forums
Hi folks, I'm new here and just setting up a small recording studio. I build computers for a living and thus will be setting up a PC-based recording rig. I have a couple Blue Snowball mics but would like to use an assortment of regular (XLR, not USB) mics as well. I would like to be able to record into multiple track editing software on my PC.
Recording MotifXS8
Forums
I am working with a few MIDI/audio projects in Logic. I want to record some drums and strings off of my motif and into logic to incorporate with the software synths already in the project. Is there any quick way to get these samples to adhere to the grid so that I can quantize them the same way that I would a MIDI piece?

HELP . Should i get rid of my Boss Br-1600 ?
Forums
Its been a while i got a Boss Br-1600 .. technically, i know about 1/2 of all the stuff of this digital recorder.
Whats happening here is that, i cant get the sound i want. ( even on the COSM effects that is integrated, or on my GT-6 .. trying to mic my amp . etc. )
and then when I'm uploading my tracks on the computer.. the sound is never as LOUD as i want.

Choosing the best sample rates?
Forums
I couldn't find much about this here, but sorry if it's been discussed. I know that sample rates are the number of samples being recorded per second (so the higher the better). Is it in my best interest to always record at the highest (96kHz) my set up can run? Would there be a reason to record at a lower sample rate? For example if I'm gonna burn the track to a CD eventually?

Mogami vs Monster vs Custom Cables.

Hello everyone, hope you're having an amazing day. I need to pick up some cables for my home studio and was wondering what your experience has been with:
1) Mogami Cables
2) Monster Cables
3) Custom-made cables
