I've been trying to go through and record all my vinyl to wave files. I have a Technics 1200 M3D running into a Tascam X-9 DJ mixer. I recently purchased the Tascam because I have decided to switch from DJing vinyl to CDs and it has two SPDIF inputs and one SPDIF Output.

I have recent acquiered:

1 Shure SM57 mic
1 Samson C03 mic
1 M-Audio MobilePre to connect to my MacBook Pro.
and a copy of Logic Express 8...

I'm helping out a meditation center and we don't have much budget.

We got 4 pair of Proficient C620 6.5 Inch Ceiling Speakers (total of 8 speakers) for a very large room.

I have a lot of pro audio experience dating about 10 years ago but my life moved in a different direction so I'm a bit lost. I want to achieve sub 10ms latency with guitar rig 3.

Hi everyone, my speakers (terrible pieces of junk computer speakers) are dying and becoming very unsuitable for listening to my mixes. I want my next big purchase to be a decent pair of monitors.

So I'll look up past threads for some budget monitors, but can you all post what you have just so I have more things to reference? Doesn't matter how much they cost.

I'm looking to spend about $900 on a pair of drum overheads. Anyone have any thoughts on either 451s or Chameleon Labs TS-1s? I've heard the later holds it's own against 451's.

I'm a little confused as to how I would set this up.

I am using a Tascam FW-1082 as my firewire interface to Cubase 4. I would like to continue using the Tascam controls, but integrate different preamps like the Mackie 1200F. Since I can't use more than 1 ASIO driver at a time, I can't just connect a second FW cable from the Mackie.

Which tracking or mixing comp/limiters are out there that can still be had at a decent price . That have good performance and cool character to them.

Here's what we're considering:
A mixing studio running Logic Pro 8 on a Mac Pro Quad 4.
2 Aurora 16's. All channels will be running into a 32 channel Toft board for mixing. (we regularly run 30+ channels.)
