maybe i could just go to a company's website and find some sound files, but it's always going to be different than what the average user gets out of something. i'm looking for something that can be used on hard rock/nu metal. thanks, Reuben

I'm using the Sennheisers 650. I have some fairly high-end gear . I live in a condo so I don't enjoy excellent monitoring conditions so I'm looking for the next best thing...an as accurate as possible headphone amp killer headphone amp to at least match the quality of my phones for recording and playback.

I am thinkin of pickin up a set of NS10's.
What power amp should i choose to compliment the worst sounding speakers ever..

lol..i see posts all day long bout how they are horrible..so I'm not lookin to get convinced or UN-convinced...

just wanting to know...

I'd like commentary on an idea I've had to record a guitar amp with another guitar-tailored speaker (used as a microphone, a la Yamaha's SubKick), and particularly one of the same make, model, and size.

Has anyone had the opportunity to test the VG99 against the Pod Xt Pro?

Certainly VG99 has much more editable parameter data, creation of models and so. But what about "tone" quality?

I am a guitarist with no recording experience. I have just bought a Tascam digital Portastudio (8 track) and I have started to experiement with my setup. I play a Cort Source (ES-335) with a Hughes & Kettner practice amp and I really like the sound.

hi there! sorry this seems like such a silly question - i've been in a few recording studios and all of them seem to have been able to do what I can't, so I know i'm doing something very stupid here:

I am looking for a great guitar amp that I can keep in my studio for bands that arrive with cheap amps. I know that the answer to my question is probably "depends on what sound you are going for." So I should mention I would like to find a great guitar amp that is tube based and has a lot of flexibility. However, the majority of the bands that I record are basic rock bands.
