LD Tube Condensers for OH...on a budget
I've always preferred recordings that have used LD Tube Condensers for drum overheads...whether it be U67's or C12's...expensive taste I know, it's a flaw.
I know it's always an outrageous thing to do in any aspect of life to say 'give me this mic's sound for $x.xx'.

Strings on a budget?
I record mainly acoustic guitar based songs using Logic Pro. i would like to enhance some of my songs with some basic orchestration and have looked at a few options.
I am now thinking of East West Symphonic Orchestra Silver edition as it seems very well priced and also has a decent Steinway Piano within its instrument set.

Low budget - 8 dig channels - noobish
Hey guys,
So I'm looking to be able to record all the instruments in a room onto different tracks on the computer. This would probably take around 8 inputs (2 Guitar, Bass, Drums, 2/3 Vocal).
I'm good with computers, so I'm thinking of either a card or firewire/USB 2 that would record into whichever software I'm thinking of using.

Budget condenser mic under $200?
Looking at the ADK's, the AKG Perception series, Studio Projects B1, and the Joemeek JM37-DP.
Any other ideas? I'm recording vocals only and at some upper ranges so I suppose I need a "brighter" sounding mic right?
I got the MXL57 right now and it sucks ass.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Jason

Online mastering - Budget
Hello!
First time client gets a budget which can include mastering. :)
I'm looking for a reasonable online mastering house. Planning to get a single mastered. Budget not exceeding 100USD, song duration 3:30. Rock.
Familier with XARC mastering. Will be getting in touch with them.
Cheers!
Sidhu

Bass traps on a budget
I have know since I set up shop that the LF in my monitoring environment had some peaks. Not as bad as a bedroom, but definitely not smooth. (The monitors are B&W 801series III which can definitely reproduce 25Hz, and flat to boot.)
