Bypassing pres on Digi 002

I read that if you have a better mic preamp than the ones in the 002 you can use the optical ins/outs so that you can bypass the pre in the 002. My question is this: What if I need my sampler to be in sync with my 002 (drums, etc)? Will I have to switch every time or is there a less complicated way than this?

TIA and have a great weekend

How can I sync my Rosetta, Octane, and 002 together?

I need these three devices to chase the same clock source. I want the main clock source to be from the Rosetta. I will be recording 2 Channels from the Rosetta Via S/PDIF and 8 Channels from the Octane Via ADAT.

-The Rosetta has WC out, ADAT out, and S/PDIF out.

-The Octane has WC in & out, and ADAT out.

Problem with Digi 002 ASIO Drivers. .

the one thing i hate abt digi 002 is that when i switch from one application to another it insults and say sorry pal the device is busy rendering services to other software so get rid of that application and then work. and as soon as i do it sometime it works with other applications and sometime i have to re-start my pc. it just get stuck i mean the digi 002 does'nt contact with the computer.

V-Drums Midi out to PTLE on 002R - Sperate Tracks - How?

How simple is this? Does the 002r take the midi direct or will I need another outboard gear option to do this.

What I want is each trigger to be on a sperate track in PT LE so I can mess with each signal individually.

How to I guess.

I have the Roland TD-6V as the main brain to the kit.

Thanks

Using an Apogee Rosetta AD with a Digi 002

Okay I have a chance to get a 2 channel Apogee Rosetta AD with the 24/96 upgrade for cheap! I'm currently running PT LE with a 002.

If I use this unit, I will of course have to do my sessions in 24/48 because I will use the rosetta's ADAT output. Is it worth it to go from 24/96 down to 24/48 just to use an Apogee?
