Line 6 Pod Live XT, direct and amped for recording
Forums
I found the Line 6 is good for heavy, straight ahead recording. It seems that building up in volume and feed back cannot be done with this pedal board unless you plug it into an amp and mic it. Players that use volume control and varied picking may have issues. It seems to defeat the direct recording that the POD was made for.
DIRECT X PROGRAM THAT CHANGES PITCH
Forums
hi,
I'm wondering whether anyone knows of a program that allows me to shift the pitch of music / voice... example.. an artist wants to sing their song 1 note lower just so they dont struggle... then i can change the pitch
together with this... I'm also after a program that allows me to speed up tempo of songs without affecting the pitch...

Volume problems: Recording direct and mic'd
Forums
I'm trying to basically y-cable my PODxtLive so I can record direct and mic my Atomic at the same time (same performance). This allows me to blend the channels as well as just using one track or the other. The problem is that there is no master volume on the Atomic so in setting the Pod volume to get a good/clear direct level the Atomic becomes WAY too loud.

Direct ( POD ) guitar recording question!
Forums
Hi,
I've been recently recording a band who has 2 guitarists.
It's a home studio so we record the guitars through a LINE 6 POD 2.0 direct into an MBOX.
At the moment i've been recording each guitar part mono ( just with one cable ), and panning the one guitarist hard left and the other guitarist hard right.
Yet this sounds thin to me, in each speaker.

Guitar Reamping and direct guitar
Forums
I have been recording all my guitar tracks with a digitech GNX3 direct into a mono track with no mics involved. Do you record two tracks 1 D.I. and 1 direct. Is it better to reamp? Wouldnt that be more time? Also what equipment do you use to amp? Is anyone else using direct guitar recording?

Going direct
Forums
Well I have been toying with PTLE for a couple years now. I think I have come to the conclusion that bass and guitar sound better recorded direct. with stuff like the GT8 and Voice tonelabs and 24bit stereo tracks and sansamp its hard to screw up. Most you guys record direct, or Amps? If amps, then how many mics/tracks. Big amps or smaller ones?
