which tuning would you use for each guitar listed?
i just put this in this forum section because I use a Mbox to Logic. I usually don't mic any amps just use the guitar amp simulators provided tweaked to my liking on the channel.
that being said, here are a few guitars I have and a tuning list I want to use for my recordings. those recordings would be rock to modern metal kinda stuff.
Using Boss Guitar Pedals for Live Delay
Hey guys,
So the Mackie board I usually use for live sound doesn't have any built in effects, but I would like to use delay on vocals. How do I go about chaining a Boss DD7 delay pedal? Do I use the insert channel? Or just patch it through before it hits the board?

Pro Tools 10 Classes At Guitar Center
The local Guitar Center in my area is having Pro Tools 10 classes. Has anyone gone to one of these classes? Are they any good?

reducing harshness, buzzing of acoustic guitar
Hi
Did a live recording recently of a friend playing acoustic guitar in a club. Was able to get a clean feed off the PA into my ZOOMH4N.
Can anyone suggest some best practices when working with acoustic guitar in Audition or similar DAW?
What compression, equalization should I use?
How can I reduce some of the harshness and 'buzzing' sounds the strings make?
Guitar amp micing
Hi guys!
A few days ago I heard a engineer saying that the best way to record the guitar amp is putting the cabinet (speaker) up something like a rack, chair, etc.
Is it really true?
Why?
Is there some acoustic problem on this?
Thanks everyone, and sorry for my english.
Hugs
Davi

Guitar tone sounding really brittle when I turn up the mid range.
I'm playing a PRS Custom 22 into a DSL100.
Here's how I have it (it might look crazy, but sounds good.) :
Presence: 5
Treble: 1ish
Middle: 2ish
Bass: 7-8ish
Volume: 7-8ish
Gain: 2, or up to 2.5ish for metal.
Deep: On
Tone Shift: Off
Ultra Gain: Off
How do you transition from playing rhythm live (to backtrak) to lead guitar?
As a Garage guitarest I sometimes play to a crowd. I saw Queen's (tie your mother down) video Brian may starts out playing the rhythm then plays the lead But all the while the rhythm keeps playing in the back ground. There is only him and the Bass player. How does he do this?
