Guitarport/Guitar Rig/Acid Problem
I'm using the Line6 Guitarport to input from my guitar. I have Guitar Rig 3 set up for my effects, and I'm trying to record directly into Sony Acid Pro 7.0. Guitarport is set up as my primary audio device, with the line-out on my soundcard going to the "In" of the guitarport, then the output of guitarport going to my monitors.

Guitar amp plugin static
Hello everyone, I have another problem for you! So, I am running my guitar totally clean straight into my PC through a firewire interface, and using only some VST plugins for guitar amp emulation, and an EQ and what not.

Best guitar amp
A guitar player at heart, I own a stack but I'm finding better results going back to basics. I recently bought 2 tiny guitar amps (Voice Da5, Fender 15 watt), I use a splitter and get decent results. The vox alone is quite the powerhouse with a 57 on it.

Recording Guitar
Hey, When you record a major album, how do they record the mainguitar.
Do they just do one take and with effects and copying the track so that it'll sound "fatter" and wider? Or do they record several takes and pan it to right and left?

Electric Guitar Problems! OMFG That Never Happens
Whenever I record guitar the palm mutes always come over 4-6 dB louder than power chords. Is there a way to fix/counter this? Perhaps a Micing technique or something? And/or what do you do in the studio to counter this?
Distorted Guitar vs. Everything else
When I track a guitar w. distortion, I seem to get different sounding results than when I'm recording almost any other type of sound. Basically, the track sounds flatter and less energetic to a far greater degree than most instruments.

Choosing acoustic guitars for worship
So, I've been elected without any say to lead the music for a new Saturday night worship service at my local fellowship, and it looks like I'll at least be starting by myself, maybe with a singer or two if I'm fortunate. Which means... I'll need an acoustic guitar. :? So much for swearing I'd never buy an acoustic guitar when I was an angry teenager.
