Mastering Explained
In this video I simulate what a mastering engineer would do to a mix.
Of course, a true ME will use far more advanced tools than Ozone to do so, but I thought it would be nice to discuss what they look for and how a mix can be transformed.
Disclaimer, I'm not a mastering engineer, I don't have the space and tools and I wouldn't pretend being one..

Mix and mastering advice
We just finished an album recording in a home studio using pro tools.
the album has bee mixed and mastered by our engineer.
we are overall happy with it ... but feel that it is missing something. What that is we aren’t sure but it lacks that ‘finished’ or ‘radio ready’ feel that commercial releases have.

Roland VS 1880 - transferring individual tracks onto other machine to be mixed and mastered m
Hi, i`ve done some recording on the 1880 and plan to do more . I`m not very techy and it took a long time to learn how to use this machine - I still have a lot to learn - but i`m happy to just be able to put tracks down and mix o.k. creating a decent soundscape . However, once played back on c.d. it sounds o.k.

Hi gang,
This is an attempt at mastering while explaining the process and using only Samplitude plugins..
Tell me what you think ! (remember I'm not a ME ! ;)
My main missing things are
LUFS metering
M/S processing
Having long peak holds on the spectrum analyser.
Cheap mastering in 2019
I'm getting close to finishing a lot of my songs and I'm down to just listening through them and putting vocals on the ones I'm happy with. Many years ago I used to love T-racks 24 for mastering but for many reason, it's unusable. What is the cheapest way of achieving what that program did? Is the way forward to now use mastering plugins rather than standalone?

Mastering another...
Since I'm just getting adjusted to this again after a few years, here is another I just put together for a quick critique. I went for a little more volume here.
