Pro Tools 6 and audible metronome/midi; software integra
I just bought a G4, digi 001 and Pro Tools 6.0 (I'm a neophyte). I can hear analog but I can't hear the metronome or midi--please help. I also would like to know how to integrate Pro Tools with other software (specifically Amplitube and Absynth). Thanks, Tim
mbox+midi+other programs
would I have any problems recording audio trough the Mbox and recording midi through the games port on my motherboard. The motherboard is made by gigabyte and I don't have any problems working with it at the present.
Also can you use the Mbox as a sound card and record onto other programs instead of pro tools.

MOTU Micro Lite or Midiman?
I currently have the Midiman Midisport 4x4 interface. It has been OK, but I have some midi dropouts and one time the drivers dissapeard. I use it with Cubase SX 2.01 on a Windows XP Pro machine.
I have the opportunity to exchange it for a MOTU Micro Lite interface. What would you do?

USB woes/MIDI
Hi,
Wondering if anybody knows of a reasonably priced, but GOOD quality USB keyboard/controller? After a few months with a MidiMan Keystation49, it seems to have gone south, with factors pointing towards it's USB port: are there any USB key controllers out there worth buying, or are they all 90 day investments we'll have to replace...
thanks,

Another Midi Equation?
I'm using Reason 2.5. It accepts two midi controllers. Right Now my Midi keyboard takes up one,and my Radikal SAC 2.2 takes up the other one.
Of course the midi keyboard operates as it is, and the Radikal SAC remote controls the mixer and Transport bar in Reason...I now want to add a Evolution UC 16 to control the knobs on the Virtual Synths.

MIDI Patchbays better avoided ?
Thinking of adding a MIDI Patchbay to my setup.
Curious to hear if this would be better avoided when not strictly needed. This because of the added delays (I thought at least a few milliseconds were unavoidable).
Are patchbays simply a tradeoff between convenience & tightness of timing ?
And much difference w.r.t. delays between the various models ?

Setting Midi Bank Changes in Cubase SX 2.0?
I use Cubase SX 2.0 with a Roland M-VS1 sound module. It has 255 presets(bank1=128,bank 2=127) I can’t seem to get Cubase to perform a Bank Change to get to the other presets(129-255). If I manually set the bank change in the SX Inspector I can change all presets. But during Playback SX will not change presets?

Midi Bank Change in Cubase SX?
I know how to Draw in a Program Change in Cubase SX. However, I want to also draw in a Bank Change. My module has 255 presets. I even tried to record another track to handle the Bank Change but it would only use the presets in the first 128 patches. I usually set my Bank in the inspector to 129 to get to the other presets(129-255).But it won't do the bank change during playback?

Tell me about the Nuendo midi side?
OK – I am a devout PC user (nothing against you MAC guys other than they cost way too much).
I use to be (still currently) a LOGIC user (v5.5.x) and I want to convert to another program cause I just ain't goin MAC. I hear rumors about Nuendo2, but is it strong at all midi wise?

Is a Midi Daisy Chain Really that bad?
I just reconfigured my system(fatar midi keyboard controller-OUT- to-IN-of sound module-MIDI THRU- IN,2nd sound module-THRU-IN,3rd sound module.
That's how it is now. SO far No problems. I had a friend say I really need a bigger Midi Interface. Like a 4in/4out. Therefore, everything would be handled properly. Could this cause problems in the long run?
