hey what do you all think of these monitors for a hip hop /R&B studio?
i've only used them once but they worked out great for me.
i''m setting a budget of 1500 to get some new monitors.

right now i've been looking at the tonnoy's and.
Event asp8's( best dynamics i've ever heard plus some other things)

Looking at a set of these for my first real set of monitors. On ebay for @$400. Also considering Yamaha MSP 5's. Thoughts?

In the process if tuning my room. Been reading all the good info on the site about acoustics and monitors. I'm sure you've all had this discussion (I did try searching some old threads first), but in your opinion...what's the general consensus on the HR 824's? I was able to pick up a pair of these for cheap, when they first came out. So these are all I've used.

I know, I know. It's like yelling fire in a theater, but please hear me out.

Can anyone give me some advise on where to get info for building my own high quality studio monitors ? Parts plans etc.

which do you guys think is better?

i hear the quested q108s are flat and the Genelec are coloured... what's your opinion?

I need some sort of a stereo splitter box to send my mix signal to 2 sets of monitors. One signal will go to active monitors and one to an amp for passive monitors. Obviously the box needs to have an A/B select switch of some kind. I'm looking for decent quality otherwise I could just go to Radio Shack. Any suggestions or recommendations?
