can anyone out there tell me what are a exc. pair of monitors that i can buy. i need them to be good for mixing and mastering. price range from 1500 to 3500

I am in the market for new monitors and I can't make my mind up which ones to get. I have a home studio and have been using KRK V4's and love them, but I want another pair to A/B. I was looking at the Mackie stuff and Genelec. My price range is $600 to $1000. I need a truly great, flat pair for mixing and mastering. Can someone help me?

Got my Adam nearfields in today but the cables got lost in shipment. They're in Nashville somewhere. I'm dying to hear these monitors but I guess I'll have to wait yet another day. *6%*&$#!

I have just read on the web, at a brazilian page that there are only 30 pairs of Avalon monitors, being sold for U$65,000 dollars. Is this true?
The dealer is from a city 2 hours from me. If possible I will check it for myself.

I am looking for a couple of new monitors to my mixing room. Have used Mackie HR824 for 1,5 years now but they aint working so good for me, On both mid & low i feel they don't give me the straight sound i would like. To my question: People have said to me that the KRK v6 are good trusty monitors. Does anybody here have any experience on that ?

Well, I am looking to pick up a cheap pair of powered monitors for my future Korg D1600/D1200. Of course these will probly stay with my for a long time as cash isn't something that grows on trees for me :roll: .

Thinking about purchasing the Dynaudio Bm15's.

The passive model is about $1500.00 less. I do have a Harmon Kardon citation 100 watt power amp I can use, but my DA converter outputs are Xlr and the inputs on the power amp are rca. Would there be any advantage over getting the active version than the passive model.
