I got it working OK but there are some clicks in the audio output that sound like software errors. Happes in DP 4 and Logic Express 7 with various sound cards. I'm so sad because this software instrument is so cool otherwise.

I'm trying to get a good acoustic guitar sound while recording through my 896hd. However, I need to turn the gain up on the preamp so high that even when I'm getting a moderately good level (not clipping on my MOTU or in Logic), it sounds massively distorted, like very harsh clipping or something similar. I've tried different mics, different mic placements, different mic cords, etc.

Im having a problem hearing my vocals through the head phones while recording...I can hear the play back of the instrumental, but I can't hear the vocals. I have the mic L up to -.1db close to 0db's I can also see my vocals being recorded and hear them during playback?

Does anyone know how to route a compressor to the mic preamp's on a traveler ? Come on I Know your out there. I've seen plenty of MOTU users here before. :roll:

I've had my 24io for about 8 months and I still haven't quite warmed to it. To put it mildly, it sounds cheap. I've been looking around at other options and this is what is within my price range:

i have a 64 bit system and windows xp, i think its time to upgrade to windows 64 but i cant find any 64bit firewire drivers for my MOTU 828mk2 so i wanted to ask if anybody here uses an MOTU 828mk2 firewire and Windows Xp X64 bit and do you use the 32bit drivers or if you have found 64bit drivers.

Few months ago I bought MOTU 828 MKII. I'm very satisfied with it but
recently I heard that MOTU 828 MKII is much worst than RME Fireface. I know RME has more inputs and outputs but tell me does it really sound worst? What are the differences between them?

Hai Pleasr help me. I find a hitch sound when i take digital input with my MOTU 828 soundcard. the noise is only there in one channel. Can u please help e to locate the probs?
