noise problem

I am having problems with noise ! My recording is on vocal tracer dictation. Recording (man speach interview) has a lot of noise, so I am wondering would be the Digidesigns BNR noise reduction or Ionizer good to solve the problem. If any body knows how to use this noise reductions plugins please let me know what is the best setup, or what shuld I use for clean this ugly noise!

I keep getting this damn humming noise. Por Favor

I've got this sick discusting ass hum coming from my computer. I hear it in my headphones. I hear it when trying to sample sounds from my computer...and most importantly and most aggravating...i hear it in my damn recordings. My mic picks it up..i pick it up! I don't want Def Jam or J Records to hear that sh*t. I'll probably need to carry by arse on to a real studio but help me out anyway.

Best noise gate?

Hola chicos,

What is currently the best-regarded noise gate out there?

Seems like the basic outboard gate is kinda falling by the wayside these days, as more and more ppl go to DAW's. Anyways, I need a handful of clean, fast gates to use on drums in particular. I used to use the dbx 900 series stuff and liked it. What are my options nowadays? Drawmer? Aphex?

Noise Floor

Why is it?
That when I first start the recording process, in Acid. . I get this 6db "noise"? It happens everytime.

I found a "workaround" by copying the name of the track. Starting the recording. . Canceling it and then restarting it, under the same name. Fixes it every time. :)
And, actually, this isn't much of a problem.

noise reduction

Hi Bob, just read the post in Fletcher's and came over here :)

I'm interested in vinyl record restoration, removing hiss, pops, declicking etc.

I have been using "The DeClicker" from Steinberg for a few years and it's okay but it adds some distortion during the process.

I'm using a Mac :D
