what mixing level should we have at the Cubase main output bus in order to have a good level to send to a mastering studio ?
should we let it pass the 0db level ?

It seems it generates a too low level like this not showing 0db peaks in wavelab ...

I have a small home-studio that shares space with our bands practice space. When we practice, we are plugged into the mixer for the PA. When we want to record, we have to take time to unplug from the mixer and plugin to the preamps in the studio (Seventh Circle, ART Digital MPA).

Okay, I've got bit of a complicated problem on my hands with my PreSonus Firepod.

Hello there! I'm new to the forum. I'm having a problem with Logic Express 7. Here's what I'm using:

1) Powerbook g4 running Tiger
2) Tascam US-122 Audio-Midi interface
3) Roland JV-80 keyboard

:( This is my first post and reading all the posts here suggest that there are may pros contributing their excellence.

I have just embarked on a digital recording project and obtained a M-Audio 1010LT PCI card. I will be using this (and Ableton Live) on an HP Win XP SP2 machine with plenty of memory and a large drive. I actually have 2 questions:

allright to in pro tools le when i want to bounce to aiff, what do i do to get the correct volume on output. i have my sessions master fader almost clipping. but then the outcome is super quite. i know for fact u dont NEED to hire a damn mastering person to do such. so what, do i bounce, make a new session and then volume it up t here? what do i do?

Hey folks, not a complete noob here, but I am a beginner.

G4 ibook 1.2ghz process.
1.25 ghz Ram
Logic Express 7 (30-day trial)
M-Audio Firewire 410

OK to drive these guitar MFC proc. (like the GT6 or a POD live) into the line in of the console direct... what impedence do they output ? still use a DI ?
