Recording piano and vocals - help!
I'm a piano teacher and composer and am exploring the options of investing in some technology to record both my own compositions and my piano lessons.
I've got my eye on a super bit of mixing kit but am completely stumped as to the best way of setting up mics so that they pick up both the piano and myself and the student's voices. I don't even know which mics would be the best.

cello-piano mixing advice needed
Hello, I need some advice on mixing cello and piano duo. I am using sampled technology, but the problem is that I can't find any settings for cello or piano positioning, mixing etc. How loud to be the piano, which position to be simulated for it, the same goes for the cello.

Usb Keyboard (piano)
Hello...
I am wondering about how usb keyboards work. Do you just connect it to the computer with usb and the recording program interprets it like audio (usb microphone) or does it send midi commands via usb?

Recording classical grand piano with Schoeps MK21s
Hi guys,
my question is about one of the most demanding acoustic instrument for the recording engineer: classical grand piano.
I'm a pianist and I wanted to record my live recitals, so I began with RODE NT4, then Neumann KM183s and finally Schoeps CMC5 with MK21 stereo matched (I choose MK21 over MK2 because of non stellar acoustic venues where I play).
Micing & recording grand piano
I have to run sound for a quintet. Violin, DoubleBass, Elec GTR, Acordeon(Bandoneon) and Acoustic Grand Piano.
We will be on tour in many locations around Europe and China, but first we must make some gigs at my country, Argentina.
The range of Pianos we use goes from Ronish 1/4 to Steinway 1/2.

RODE NT2-A for grand piano recording
I am assembling gear for recording my grand piano in my living room. The room acoustic is pretty good, fairly well damped but I think sufficiently live for a pleasing sound. I don't really want to spend too much, certainly no more than $1500. I will be using the Focusrite Sapphire with my MacBook Pro.
[Edit: I forgot to say that for near-field monitoring I am using the Blue Sky EXO.]

Grand piano + 2 ev blue mics = wide frustration.
Hello,
I'm musician new to this forum and quiet new to recording DIY.
(I tried to use search button for my problem but couldn't find any answer)
I have two Electro-Voice Blue Cardinal mics and nice baby grand piano, external sound card and few very good softwares.
Here is data of mics:
Mic placement for Upright Piano.
Anyone have any suggestions for recording an upright piano? It seems that there is a ton about recording grands, but not very much for uprights. My parents own a Huntington Piano Co that they have kept in tune for as long as I can remember. I'm borrowing a pair of NT5 and I thought I'd test them out on it. Has anyone had any luck with certain mic placements?
Thanks

Need piano recording advice
Hey folks, I've been interested in recording myself play on my upright piano for my own use. I would like some advice if you have any to offer. I don't have an unlimited budget but at the same time don't want to buy something that won't last me a long time or will skimp out on sound quality.
