Buying a piano - good sounding upright piano suggestions

I'm not a piano player but wish I would have learned more than the guitar some days. I'm in the market for an upright piano now. Can I find something good in the price range of 3500.00? What brand or model do you recommend. New or used isn't a concern. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

Bosendorfer won't play.

I am totally new to midi, no experience whatsoever. I just got the Bosendorfer 290 by eastwest. The book says I can use it as an RTAS plugin so I figure I can use it like any plugin . I have a Yamaha keyboard running into the preamp into an 002r. When I bring up the plugin the keyboard goes silent. I do not have midi cables hooked up from the keyboard to the 002r. Is this the problem?

Micing a grand piano

hey I'm new to all this forum stuff, but i read some of the entrees and all you guys are using some nice gear. all I have is a condenser mic (cad) and a vocal mic. (don't know what make, I borrowed it) for some practice I am doing some x-mas songs. my wife singing, and a grand piano. the piano is in a church sitting in the front of the room. baisicly on a stage.

Need A Good Digital Piano...

I have a plethora of keyboards and am constantly disappointed with acoustic piano sounds. The closest thing I’ve got right now is a Korg Triton Studio, and well, the acoustic piano sound is beyond hideous. Does anyone know where I might go to get some good advice on a weighted keyboard with the most realistic acoustic piano sound available? I currently have neither.
