I recently received some field recordings done with some sort of Sony digital 'walkman' style recorder. They sound FANTASTIC.

Portable mp3 player microphone
Forums
I'm a new user, not sure where this question should go.
I'm a piano major in school and would like some sort of small portable microphone to record my piano playing mostly for personal critique. But I don't want to spend money on some crappy mic that can barely do decent voice recording.

Done some research and working on a portable, budget studio
Forums
Hey guys -
I spend a lot of time lurking these forums. Our band has amassed some equipment that we do demos on, and I think they come out pretty decently. What we use right now is:
- MacBook Pro, GarageBand, GuitarRig and Drumagog (cheap version)
- Firepod
- MXL 992
- Audix Fusion drum mic pack
- Sennheiser HD280s (yes, a headphone mix).

Portable Phantom Power
Forums
Hi,
Does anyone have a design for a phantom supply (48vdc), that is battery or wall supply powered? I would like to get the output as close as possible to 48vdc at 2-10ma. I understand this could be done with an appropriate voltage doubler circuit. Any info would help. Thanks much!

Portable Voice Recorder advice? (ZH4, MR-1, Edirol)
Forums
I'm a voice-over hobbyist in my spare time (and hopefully one day as a career), but I've found that lately I don't really have the time to sit down at my computer and record in peace and quiet.
