sorry, i'm fairly new to all this.

i use headphones while i'm doing all my tracking, and i can get everything to sound good to my ear through them

however, i don't have monitor speakers. i just have my big stereo system that i usually hook up L/R rca speaker cables to, just to check that my mix will sound fairly decent on CD...

Hi guys, I have a few questions and hoped maybe somebody can shed some light.

Looking to purchase and upgrade from Hi-MD. The Md is great but the transfer restrictions bite. I'm mainly looking for just two tracks. I don't want computer or DAT so suggestions for anything else will be appreciated. I know the first question will be, "What's your budget" just please throw some suggestions out. Hello master of sounds. I have just been given access to a recording studio (sorry not sure what equement it has). Right to the point a band i kno what to record there frist album and since i have access they have asked me to record them and i need help. I am looking for a step by step guide to recording it for them. Sorry about grammer,spelling and anything i have ask that annoys you.

Could you be so kind as to repost (for the millionth time!) the recoderman method for overhead drum mic placement. I've tried searching and have had little luck.

I have just started getting in to the recording of music and for Christmas would like a recorder. My parents said anywhere in the neighborhood of $200-$300 is what they could spend on it. I really don't want any computer programs or stuff to record to a computer. I would like either an Analog 4- track recorder or a Digital 4- track recorder.

We've been using a Marantz PMD201 Portable Cassette Recorder for recording lectures and we've had some problems with the machine recording a little slow - about 3% slow.
